Red Lipstick Rules!

While the colours of Aw12 range from cobalt to maroon one colour that's currently on all the lips that count is red. Seen everywhere from the catwalks to celebrites to the high street - red lipstick rules so strongly right now that it's fast becoming the lip shade of the season.

Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Kristen Stewart, Megan Fox and of course the doyenne of red lips Angelina Jolie are all working the look. Some are doing it in bold ways (Rihanna and Taylor), some in more iconic ways (Angelina) and some with reds that veer steeply towards the sexy vampiric (Kristen of course)!

Whichever way you choose to wear the shade the key with red lipstick is to find your perfect match. Red lipstick is a classic colour but the differing hues say different things about you.

Bright red screams old Hollywood glamour. Think Monroe, think bombshell, think very sexy.

Dark burgundy red is a very Aw12 fashionista shade. It's bang on trend with this year's modern goth look and look sgood no matter what your skin tone.

Blue red is a very vampiric and strong. Think pale skin, bright eyes and bold, sexy lips.

Orange red this shade of red tends to look best when you have olive skin but also works well if you're looking for a lighthearted red lipstick look. Think Taylor Swift.
