One of the pretty features of the eyes are the eyelashes. Most women try hard to get long, thick and full eyelashes. Taking care of eyelashes and maintaining them should be a routine.

Condition your eyelash by the time you sleep. Eyelashes tend to break easily when they get dry. Make it a point to remove your eye makeup before you get to bed. Remove your mascara from an eyelashes. Put some petroleum jelly on a little cotton swab and stroke it on your eyelashes gently. Another easy way is to hold the cotton swab and allow some butterfly kisses by fluttering your lashes for some seconds. For pretty, long lashes, applying castor oil before you sleep is advised.

To get a pretty, curled look, use an eyelash curler before applying a mascara. They always give you a natural look and when applied in the right manner, they allow no clumping of lashes.

Make sure you coat both the top and bottom of your eyelashes. Start by coating the eyelashes slightly with a powder, as this will help hold the mascara that you will apply. make sure you don't hold the mascara brush for long, instead, wiggle the brush to apply mascara. Apply on both top and cotton coats.

An alumnus of Central Saint Martin’s College, London, Gaurav’s work began to be recognized early on with honors like ‘The Future of Couture’ trophy at Altaroma Altamoda at the Rome Couture Fashion Week and ‘The Roots of Creativity’ title at the Mittelmoda Fashion Awards in Italy besides other recognitions in Japan, Russia and India as a breakthrough designer.

After working with designers like Hussein Chalayan, Stella McCartney and Tristan Webber, Gaurav debuted his eponymous label at India Fashion Week in 2006. He became an instant success and was awarded Breakthrough Designer on several occasions including the MTV Style Awards, Zoom Awards and Kingfisher Fashion Awards.

Anamika’s tryst with couture began with her winning the prestigious Damania Fashion Award in 1995. This jump-started her career, and prompted the conception of her designer label ‘ANAMIKA KHANNA’.

With color, craft and texture her forte, she has quite naturally carved her niche in trousseau wear. Her look is global with ethnic Indian craft as her mainstay, and her creative versatility has ensured her enduring appeal over a career spanning three decades.

Anamika has regularly been invited to showcase her collections at all the major ‘fashion weeks’ on the Indian fashion calendar, often featuring as the opening or final designer. Her collection at Couture Week 2008 received critical acclaim, being hailed as “one of the best collections seen on the ramp.” She was one of the first Indian designers to be invited to showcase at London Fashion Week (2005) and Paris Fashion Week (2007), and was the only Indian designer who showcased at the World Economic Forum at Davos, Switzerland, in 2011.

Anamika has received a plethora of awards over the years, including the Kingfisher Designer of the Year Award (2004), FICCI Ladies Organization’s Young Woman Achiever’s Award (2006), the FICCI Ladies Organization Woman of Substance Award (2008), the Bharat Nirman Award (2010) and the ‘She’ Award (2011).

Additionally, Anamika has been selected by Elle Magazine as one of the 50 Style Icons of the Year (2006), by Verve Magazine as one of their 50 Power Women (2010), by India Today as one of India’s 25 most powerful women (2011), by Femina as one of the 50 most powerful women in India (2011) and also as one of the 100 people most impacting India (2011). She has also been elected into the Damania Fashion Hall of Fame.

She also serves on the board of Lakme Fashion and on the advisory board of the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI).
